Build Habits that Stick ~ Mini Habits
Habits. For me, it used to be like Sunday evening I would set some Habits to follow from the very next day. I would follow them for 2-3 days and then procrastinate and make an excuse of not having enough time.
You can't transform in one single day, you need time to develop. That's where the concept of Mini Habits comes in.
Mini Habits
While making a habit, don't go straight to 1 hour of exercise, 2 hours of meditation, and 3 books to read every week. Instead, keep it short like, 2-minutes of exercise, 5 minutes of meditation, and 1 page to read every day.
When you do this, you can easily get some time out of your schedule and be able to follow your habits. Here, the main focus is to start the habit and not finish it.
Trackers
I would recommend making trackers make sure you're following your habits. Review these trackers at the end of the week, and you'll feel a sense of accomplishment and stay motivated for the next week.
Some Tips to Follow
1. Start one at a time (Don't start 10 new habits at once, go one by one)
2. Research (Understand the benefits of the habit and the challenges so, you're ready)
3. Design your Environment (Make your environment suitable for your habit)
Example - Want to read before bed? Keep the book on your nightstand.
4. Never miss twice (You'll mess up but make sure it's not twice in a row)
5. Quit the habits that get in your way (Remember: Your old habits may get in the way, so know what you want)
Some Habits You May Follow
Waking up Early
Exercising/ Yoga (or any physical activity)
Journaling
